An entryway or a foyer is the space where transition is made from the outside to the inside of your home. The entryway is the first place where your guests form their first impression of the house, and creating a memorable space is essential. This can be done by choosing the right color, furniture and decoration.
In the fight for equality in domestic relationships everywhere, sometimes the personal touch can make all the difference. When separating the very limited real estate of clothing storage, tensions can be run high. Everyone has way more stuff than anticipated, no one knows where to put those pairs of boots, and it might be tempting to throw away that tattered shirt on your sweetie’s back.
Maybe you just have a few trinkets, baubles, knickknacks, jems and gewgaws you want to put on display. Maybe a loving family member of yours just passed on into the next life and you wish to pay them homage and show your respects. Maybe you miss your father, grandmother or just want to display your most treasured antiquities. Maybe you have a collection of dolls, ornaments, glass figurines, Hummels, Precious Moments, stuffed animals, books or any other interesting things that you might have done or picked up during your life time and want to put on display in your home.
You too can have this lovely English Country Garden and rock it to your specifications. All it takes is a little determination and know-how. If you don’t have a green thumb, maybe your mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt or neighbor can help. If not, our experienced team of decorators always have someone around who will be able to answer some of your more difficult horticultural questions.
We have the ‘horse sense’ to MAKE sense of what puzzles you. I can teach you in a few easy steps how to design this garden and make it look just like the picture, or you can add your own personal touches to it and make it unique to you. I believe, in my own personal experience, that a little meshing of both ways would be best. No one likes a copycat, and your home should reveal who YOU are, not who someone else is. This ALSO entails taking care of your garden the way YOU see fit.

This fireplace is SO grand it should be utilized anywhere. I have seen some of just this sort of brick. I could find places in sporting goods stores, sporting centers, lodges, hotels, Restaurants, Meeting Rooms, Gathering Places, Offices, Restaurants and Homes, Dens, Entry Ways, Kitchens even Patios and Libraries that could very well utilize this kind of fireplace. A modern, newly renovated dining and culinary parlor with an enormous divided sink. Let’s not make it TOO white, though. It would tend to get slightly boring and border on the unpractical. I CANNOT even imagine ANYONE keeping a room like this that immaculate and WHITE with small children and pets always hanging around, for example. Rugs would be a nice accent, even for a French Chateau style. Make your home full of YOUR personality. Read more →
A white room bathed in light. Four…no.FIVE windows on the one side. You place your wooden bench down, or maybe you enjoy the soft crunch of wicker. You set down your fluffy blanket, throw another one over you, and rearrange your pillows. You drape your baskets of kindling on one side, and newspapers on another. You decide it is quite cold in the room. So you start a fire. You drop your blanket to the ground, remarking how it has stayed so white so long in your careful care, and walk over barefoot on the newly painted wooden floor to your fireplace. You start the fire, and hear the soft crackle, inhaling the smoky smell.
Luminous Loggia (The Sun Porch)
You place the basket of kindling by the fire and sit down on your bench/couch again, draping the blanket back over the lower part of your body. You lean over to open one of the windows just a crack, to give you a nice little mixture of fresh air and warmth. You lean over and touch the metal matching candelabra and the white leaves, admiring this new addition to your lovely indoor sun deck with happy remembering. You open the pages of the book you were reading, and once again , get enveloped in your story. You lean to take a sip of your freshly made peach iced tea and lean over to pet your cat that has now jumped up to join you on this relaxing Sunday on your beloved veranda. Now, do you love your sun porch? Well, I am quite SURE that your kitty loves it too. You tell me…Can you just imagine it? Happy Decorating!
You know, I have seen a lot of kitchens in my time, and I loved this one almost instantaneously. From the stone flooring to the palm trees, to the pristine grills and cooking surfaces as silver and shiny as they come, to the brick bordering and lightly colored ceilings adding to the already luminescent outdoor lighting and providing a warm and lighter environment when artificial lighting would need to be used in case the weather outside is not that ‘delightful.’ All of the patio in this absolutely amazing kitchen down to even the brick matches one another.
