Want to have a headboard just like this one? It makes your bed look fancy, yet very comfortable. You can even make one yourself! And I can show you how.

A Tufted Headboard. Tufted means to pass threads through the layers of (a quilt, mattress, or upholstery), securing the thread ends with a knot or button. Take a look at those celebrity homes and photos of bedrooms that you can see on TV and magazines, headboards are a huge thing!

 They look very classy, makes your bed look expensive, and most especially, it can make your bed more irresistible to look at! It is easy to make one for less. Instead of buying, which is a lot more expensive, make one for yourself and maybe for your kids too.


 The things you’ll need are: A plywood DIY Tufted Headboard , make sure that it’s as wide as your bed. Then you also need foam DIY Tufted Headboard , as wide as your plywood for a perfect fit. The thickness depends on your liking, but I suggest it to be thick for added comfort. Now to design your headboard just like at the photo above, get any type of fabric DIY Tufted Headboard , the thick ones are ideal because they can cover up the foam perfectly.

 You also need buttons that matches the color of your fabric. You can sew the buttons on the foam to make it stick and intact. Mare sure to use the appropriate size of needles and threads.  Next up, stick the foam on your plywood, you can use sealing bond or anything that can make it stick. You can also design the headboard differently. You can form the plywood and foam to whatever design you like, as long as it is still as wide as your bed. There are a lot ways to make your tufted headboard. Play with shapes and colors.
